Industry Definitions
Bulk Liquids Tank Cleaning (BLT) |
Bulk Liquids Tank Cleaning (BLT) refers to any applications including, but not limited to the handling of bulk liquids including petrochemicals, chemicals, wine, industrial alcohol, alcoholic beverages, oleo chemicals, food grade oils, acids, pharmaceuticals and specialty liquids in ISO Tank Container Service Terminals, Intermodal Service Terminals and Chemical Storage Terminals.

"ISO" |
means International Standard Organization |
"ISO Tank Container Service Terminals" |
means facilities for the cleaning of ISO tank containers used for carriage of materials and/or liquids by ship, road and/or rail which facilities utilize the treatment and/or disposal of resultant wastewater |
"Intermodal Service Terminals" |
means facilities for the cleaning of ISO tank containers, intermediate bulk containers, road tankers and bulk rail trucks and similar containers and trucks which utilize the treatment and/or disposal of resultant wastewater |
"Chemical Service Terminals" |
means facilities for the storage of bulk chemicals which utilize the treatment and/or disposal of resultant wastewater. |

Food and Beverage (FB) |
Food and Beverage (FB) refers to any application including, but not limited to the growing, separation, refining, extraction, processing, blending (in each case in, or within the immediate environs of, the applicable processing plant or other relevant location) and the transportation of any substance (whether in dry, wet or additive form), that is fit for consumption by humans or animals, including the treatment of by-products arising from any of the foregoing activities. This excludes any such activities when carried on in the home. |

Dairy |
Dairy refers to any applications including, but not limited to the growing, separation, refining, extraction, processing, blending (in each case in, or within the immediate environs of, the applicable processing plant or any other relevant location) and the transportation of any dairy based substance (whether in dry, wet or additive form, that is fit for consumption by humans or animals, including the treatment of [reusable] by-products arising from any of the foregoing activities. This excludes the treatment of effluent and/or waste materials resulting from such processes when carried on in the home. |

Marine (M) |
Marine (M) refers to any applications onboard Ships other than Oil and Gas Shipping Applications and FPSO Applications

"Ship" |
means any vessel or boat used in navigation which is propelled other than by oars or sail but, excludes FPSO's. |
"Oil and Gas Shipping Applications" |
means the transportation by Ship of any petroleum and/or petroleum derivatives |
"FPSO Applications" |
means any application on or using FPSO's |
"FPSO" |
means a floating production storage and offloading facility used offshore in the oil and gas industry |

Oil and Gas (OG) |
Oil and Gas (OG) refers to any application in the Oil and Gas industries including FPSO Applications, Offshore Oil and Gas Applications, Offshore Spills Application, Onshore Oil and Gas Applications and Oil and Gas Shipping Applications.

"FPSO Applications" |
means any application on or using FPSO's |
"FPSO" |
means a floating production storage and offloading facility used offshore in the oil and gas industry |
"Offshore Oil and Gas Applications" |
means the finding, producing and/or transportation of petroleum and/or petroleum derivatives manned or unmanned oil and/or gas production facilities which are either floating at sea, or fixed to the sea bed and are either: (a) at least 200 meters from the coast of any land; or (b) not linked to the land by any physical connection above sea level, but excludes Oil and Gas Shipping Applications |
"Offshore Spills Applications" |
means the cleaning up of any spill of petroleum and/or petroleum derivatives associated with Offshore Oil and Gas Applications or Oil and Gas Shipping Applications, except where the spill originates in a harbour, port or in fresh water but excludes Oil and Gas Shipping Applications |

Public Sewer (PS) |
Public Sewer (PS) refers to common sewer systems comprised of two or more unrelated waste sources with total incoming flow greater than one megaliter peday. |

Refining (R) |
Refining (R) refers to the refining and/or recycling of waste, animal, vegetable fat oil and grease. |

Steel (S) |
Steel (S) refers to the manufacture of steel from iron ore and the rolling or forging ofsteel into bars, sheets, ingots, tubes etc. |

General (G) |
General (G) refers to any and all applications excluding Bulk Liquids Tank Cleaning, Food and Beverage, Marine, Oil and Gas, Public Sewer, Refining and Steel industries. |
